Over 10 days, you’ll walk an average of 25km per day, beginning in Porto with its rich history and iconic cathedral, and making your way through charming towns like Barcelos, Ponte de Lima, and Padrón. Along the route, you’ll cross into Spain at Tui, visit ancient fortresses like Valença, explore the artistic heritage of Pontevedra, and immerse yourself in the spiritual traditions of the Camino. Each day offers a new adventure—from rolling hills and forest paths to bustling towns and sacred sites. The journey culminates in a triumphant arrival in Santiago de Compostela, where you’ll celebrate your pilgrimage at the legendary cathedral.
Day 1: Explore Porto
No walking today, just soaking in the rich history and charm of the city.
Day 2: Porto to Vilarinho
Start your journey and enjoy the blend of city and countryside as you head towards Vilarinho.
Day 3: Vilarinho to Barcelos
A mix of paths takes you to the medieval town of Barcelos, known for its pottery and iconic rooster.
Day 4: Barcelos to Ponte de Lima
A longer day walking through lush landscapes, leading you to Ponte de Lima, Portugal’s oldest town.
Day 5: Ponte de Lima to Rubiães
Enjoy a more relaxed pace today, with a scenic nature walk, and finish in the quiet village of Rubiães.
Day 6: Rubiães to Tui (via Valença)
Cross the border into Spain via Valença and soak in the stunning fortress before heading to Tui.
Day 7: Tui to O Porriño
A day through nature and the industrial heart of the region, ending in O Porriño, known for its granite.
Day 8: O Porriño to Redondela
A short but peaceful walk today through quiet countryside toward the charming town of Redondela.
Day 9: Redondela to Pontevedra
Enjoy the vibrant streets and historic beauty of Pontevedra, one of Galicia’s most charming cities.
Day 10: Pontevedra to Caldas de Reis to Padrón
Today’s journey takes you through scenic forests and towns, with a stop in Caldas de Reis known for its thermal waters. Continue on to Padrón, home of the famous peppers and significant in the Camino legend.
Day 11: Caldas de Reis to Padrón – Peppers, Legends & Pilgrim Roots
Walk through beautiful landscapes to Padrón, a town steeped in Camino history, home to the famous Padrón peppers.
Day 12: Padrón to Santiago de Compostela – The Final Joyful Stretch
The final stretch of your pilgrimage! Walk into Santiago de Compostela, where your journey culminates at the magnificent Cathedral.
