You’ll pass through the peaceful hamlets of Augapesada and Alto do Mar de Ovellas before arriving at the enchanting Ponte Maceira. Here, a 13th-century bridge and the gentle sound of river mills greet you—perfect for your first night’s rest in the countryside.

Today, you’ll walk through the small town of Negreira, where you can admire the Pazo de Cotón and the Church of San Mauro. Continue on to the quiet village of A Pena, and make your way through Piaxe and Cornovo. Cross over the rego of Foxan (a small stream) and pass through Vilaserío before reaching Marco do Cornado for the night.

Day 3: Marco do Cornado to Marco do Couto – Jacobean Crossroads & Countryside Peace

You’ll wander through Santa Mariña das Maroñas, home to a Romanesque church and several traditional hórreos (stone granaries). Keep an eye out for the historic roadside crosses (cruceiros) that mark crossroads along this sacred route—each telling its own story. Continue through Galician farmland until you arrive at the peaceful hamlet of Marco do Couto.

Day 4: Marco do Couto to Fisterra – Ocean Views & Sacred Springs

One of the most memorable days on this route. Pass the sanctuaries of Nosa Señora das Neves and San Pedro Mártir, both known for their holy springs. You’ll soon start descending toward the coast, reaching the towns of Cee and Corcubión—charming and full of history. Walk along the shoreline to the fishing village of Sardiñeiro, and finally reach Fisterra, “the end of the earth.” If possible, climb Mount Facho and visit the symbolic lighthouse at the tip of the cape.

Day 5: Fisterra to Lires – Coastal Paths & Hidden Valleys

Begin your day at the Church of Santa María das Areas and its Gothic cross before heading inland once again. You’ll pass through Val de Duio, Suarriba, and the remote villages of Castrexe, Padrís, and Canosa. End the day in the lush green valley of Lires, a quiet stop that feels far removed from the rest of the world.

Day 6: Lires to Muxía – Holy Stones & Dramatic Coastline

The final stretch of your journey is full of coastal beauty and spiritual symbolism. Travel through Vaosilveiro, Frixe, and Guisamonde before reaching Monte Facho and Praia de Lourido. From here, make your way into the fishing village of Muxía and visit the sanctuary of Nosa Señora da Barca, perched above the sea. Don’t miss the sacred “rocking stone” and “kidney stone,” believed to offer healing energy. This is a powerful place to end your Camino with the wild sea crashing below.
